I know it's early to think about the Super Bowl, but I've just compiled a list of places to Enjoy or Avoid the Super Bowl in New York City. I've gotta come up with some good ideas for events that are happening that *aren't* Super Bowl events that day... if you have any ideas, email me.

I hate to promote credit cards, but American Express is sponsoring an exhibit of Annie Leibovitz photography called Rewarding Lives. It's at the American Express Tower in the World Financial Center until January 12. Check it out!

Chowhound is one of my favorite web sites, especially when I get to read about dirt like this: T. G. I. Fridays: Ripping Off Tourists! Now, part of me says anyone who chooses to eat at T. G. I. Fridays when they're in NYC deserves what they get, but it's good to know what they're up to there.

Just added some information about Kwanzaa Celebrations in New York City. Check it out if you're interested.

Wow... looks like there might be a New York City transit strike... and I thought not getting a seat was bad. My office is trying to organize carpools to work and the city is bracing itself for the possible strike, the most recent information (including press releases from Mayor Bloomberg are available at the New York City Transit Information Center.
